Overview
Speaklone is designed with privacy as a core principle. All voice synthesis, voice cloning, and voice design features run entirely on your device. Your voice data never leaves your Mac or iPhone.
Data We Collect
Voice and Audio Data
We do not collect any voice or audio data. All voice processing happens locally on your device:
- Text-to-speech synthesis runs on-device using Apple's MLX framework
- Voice cloning is processed entirely on your Mac or iPhone
- Voice design features run locally without any server communication
- Audio files you create are stored only on your device
Model Downloads
When you first use certain features, Speaklone downloads AI models from our content delivery network (Cloudflare R2). This download includes only the model files needed for the feature. We log basic download statistics (download count, file size) but do not collect any personally identifiable information during this process.
Purchase Information
If you purchase Speaklone Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive a transaction receipt to verify your purchase but do not receive your payment details, name, or contact information.
Analytics
Speaklone does not include any third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track your usage patterns, feature usage, or any other behavioral data.
Data Storage
All data created by Speaklone is stored locally on your device:
- Custom voices you create are saved in the app's local storage
- Cloned voices are stored on-device only
- Generated audio files are saved where you choose
- Downloaded models are cached locally for offline use
If you delete Speaklone, all associated data on your device will be removed.
Third-Party Services
Speaklone uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases
- Cloudflare R2: For hosting AI model downloads
- Apple Image Playground: For AI-generated avatars (optional feature, uses Apple's on-device processing)
Children's Privacy
Speaklone does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app is designed for general audiences and processes all data locally without collection.
Your Rights
Since Speaklone does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete from our servers. All your data remains on your device under your control. You can delete any voices, audio files, or the entire app at any time.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
